Dion Sims is a Spartan
kj on Jan 13th 2009
This is technically a football commitment, which I don’t typically cover. But Dion Sims clearly wants to be a Division 1 college basketball player:
In the end, the difference was the joint effort of Coaches Dantonio and Izzo, and their willingness to work with the Sims family to allow Dion his dream of attempting to play [...]
Jamil Wilson is down to three
kj on Nov 27th 2008
Jamil Wilson is down to MSU, Oregon, and Texas. Marquette is out of the picture. Wilson says he didn’t like them “playing head games” with him.

First topic of discussion is Jamil Wilson. There’s a lot of moving and [...]

Russell Byrd to announce decision on Friday
kj on Oct 20th 2008
Per Jerry Tipton of the Lexington Herald, Russell Byrd will choose between Kentucky, Michigan State, and Michigan on Friday:
“He felt he had enough information,” Kelly Byrd said about his son. “He’d seen enough, heard enough. He wanted to take this week to pray and discuss this with his mother and father.”
Is this a good sign [...]
