Today is the start of the early signing period for 2009 basketball recruits.  Presumably, Garrick Sherman and Derrick Nix will sign the dotted line to come play for Tom Izzo today.

Complete details released for 2008-09 basketball schedule

Michigan State has now released all the details on start times and TV coverage for the 2008-2009 basketball schedule.
Tidbits and nuggets:

The two exhibition games will be broadcast at BigTenNetwork.com (as opposed to on the TV network itself).
It appears the game at IPFW will be the only game not televised.

The Scoop on Jamil Wilson

Interesting article on Jamil Wilson by scout.com’s Sam Webb in Thursday’s Detroit News.  Wilson is a 6′7″ forward from Racine, Wisconsin who is likely Izzo’s #1 target for the remaining one or two slots in MSU’s 2009 recruiting class.
