Lucious, Allen break bones
Talk about a game going as badly as it possibly could have. On a positive note, my sense is that a broken bone doesn’t involve major rehab. (Hat tip: MooTheKow.)

Delvon Roe Update: Ankle Edition
kj on Dec 29th 2008
I had really hoped we were done with the Delvon Roe injury updates . . .
The LSJ is reporting (via Joe Rexrode’s blog) that Roe hasn’t practiced the last two days:
Coach Tom Izzo said Roe is questionable as of today for Wednesday’s Big Ten opener at Minnesota and would be considered doubtful if the forward [...]

Rankings Update
MSU slid a bit to #19/22 in the polls. Apparently, the voters weren’t impressed by the 118 points against Alcorn State.
We’re up to #28 in the Sagarin ratings, but still down at #39 under the Kenpom version.
The Return of Goran Draws Nigh
Goran Suton practiced today, and his knee was reportedly pain-free. There’s a chance [...]

Joe Rexrode:
Delvon Roe said after Friday’s practice that doctors have cleared him to do “whatever I want to do.”

So while Goran Suton’s knee situation is a drag on this team, Roe’s situation is as good as could be expected at this point. He’s practicing more and into the [...]
(Another) Goran Suton Update
kj on Dec 5th 2008
Steve Grinczel on Suton’s knee surgery:
Suton’s 15-minute procedure was performed Thursday, Izzo said Friday evening after practice. A small “fleck” of cartilage that may have contributed to the pain Suton experienced in his left knee was removed.
According to the article, he could be back in as little as two weeks, but all the missed practice [...]
Goran Suton Update
kj on Nov 26th 2008
Tom Izzo made an appearance on WDFN yesterday. His comments indicate that (1) Suton probably won’t need arthroscopic surgery on his knee but (2) he expects to be without Suton for at least 90% of the Old Spice Classic–if not all of it. Izzo indicates the situation simply requires rest (in which case I’d question [...]
Suton to miss Old Spice Classic?
kj on Nov 24th 2008
Joe Rexrode is reporting that Goran Suton may have to sit out the Old Spice Classic due to lingering knee problems. Suton will certainly be limited in terms of minutes, and arthroscopic surgery is a possibility, which would mean 2-3 weeks of missed time.
This would be (is) a major blow to MSU’s advantage over the [...]
