The Spartans knock off the Buckeyes 67-58 in a 60-possession game.  Official box score.
Events conspired against me tonight.  I thought I had access to ESPN2, but apparently when you get ESPN and ESPN2 in the Bahamas, you really only get ESPN, as both channels were showing the ESPN feed.  And my laptop was cranky; getting [...]

The Citadel Game Recap (12/17/08)

kj on Dec 17th 2008

Michigan State knocks off The Citadel 79-65 in a 66-possession game.  Official box score.

We’re up to #28 in the Sagarin ratings, but still down at #39 under the Kenpom version.

The Return of Goran Draws Nigh

Goran Suton practiced today, and his knee was reportedly pain-free.  There’s a chance [...]

MSU at the Old Spice Classic: A Statistical Review

kj on Dec 1st 2008

Preseason Musings: Three-Point Shooting

kj on Nov 6th 2008

We’re now just 10 days out from the MSU basketball team’s first real game.  At this point, I feel like a good sports blogger would offer up a nice, comprehensive team preview.  But I also feel like I’ve said just about everything I can think of about this roster of players over the last seven [...]

Northern Michigan Game Recap (11/5/08)

kj on Nov 6th 2008

MSU defeats NMU in a landslide, 118-57.
I ended up attending the game in person, which was good since it sounds like the streaming video thing wasn’t a flaming success.
Michigan State came out flaunting their new high-tempo game plan.  They applied full-court pressure on every made basket or dead ball.  It’s not a full-court trap.  They [...]
