[...] UConn Game Recap (4/4/09) There was some basketball played over the weekend and Michigan State took care of their business. There is no denying that MSU is running a top notch program (one of the best of the 2000’s?) but for everyone worrying about recruiting I ask this: if MSU loses on Saturday does it change their program? Michigan State is going to get theirs regardless and Michigan just has to worry about themselves. [...]

That might not have been Charles Rogers, KJ. Freep reported on 3/24 he was being jailed for 15 days for violating his probation. Maybe he got out early, or something?

In the Freep story he promised a comeback attempt. That would be nice if that happened.

I don't know, Hubert. You're the ESPN analyst. You tell us.

Joking aside, "The only team to beat three #1 seeds in a single tournament was #4 seed Arizona in 1997." From Wikipedia.

They've taken us this far, and they all seem like such nice guys too.
The third upset's the charm.

At this point, I think we might as well embrace the physical-slow-it-down-can't-run persona that many in the national media seem determined to assign to us. Perhaps it gives us a minor competitive advantage in tournament play, as teams may not be quite as ready for the kind of transition show we put on last night. (Although I really doubt any good coach isn't going to see through the smokescreen.)

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/story/11595774

Even though Freeman has rarely shown himself to be a competent reporter, here is a nice article about Tom Izzo vs. Roy Williams. Still even after the game last night where we scored 82 points he still chooses to describe our offense as "cement truck like". What do we have to do to get it through the media's heads that we can (and in fact like to) play an uptempo game?
