Your blogger’s dream come true

Goran Suton is on the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated:

Sadly, Mrs. SW says I can’t frame a copy of the magazine and put it up over the fireplace.
P.S. Presumably, this can’t jinx us, as the top eight teams in the country all have a player on the cover. Either that or you should pick #9 Kansas to win the whole thing in your NCAA Tournament office pool.

Adamon 04 Mar 2009 at 10:56 pm 3It would look better if they hadn’t photoshopped them all hanging seventeen feet in the air.
And I say it does jinx us. Who is touching the ball? Yeah. I thought so.
msufan23on 05 Mar 2009 at 2:36 am 4hey adam they needed room for the extra foot Thabeet has on everyone haha
huberton 05 Mar 2009 at 10:39 am 5Suton with serious hops. way cool.
Mark in DCon 05 Mar 2009 at 11:39 am 6I don’t think he’s quite touching the ball, but his hand is closest. He’s the least visible – in fact it’s impossible to tell, if you don’t know who Goran Suton is, what school he represents. I think the rest of them have more to worry about jinx-wise.
Based on conference only efficiency margins for all major conference teams, Kansas, at +.18, looks like the best team in the nation, so I wouldn’t rule them out of the picture entirely as far as a final four run is concerned, despite the fact that we beat them.
