The badgers are dirty – hard to argue with that. The players take after their coach. MSU players tend to be classy – Wisconsin players tend to be dirty/slimy and whine about every single call. Wisconsin players also flop more than any players not wearing a Duke uniform and are infuriating to watch.

With Lucsious having the flu, wonder if we see Walton at the point
for short intervals (ie a minute or two) to rest Lucas. Lucas could
end up playing 36-37 minutes in this. ESPN seems to have longer
commercial breaks than the B10N so hopefully that is the difference. They will be sure Luscious is hydrated but doubt he can play well when sick due to being a freshman. Little errors can compound when you can’t go 100% physically.

For those saying Lucas chokes at the end of big games, would really disagree. His free throw shooting hasn’t been as good as a Drew Neitzel but has still been clutch. Look at the 2 games against Texas,
at the IL game. He will be looking for assists today as well as hitting his
own shots after the Purdue game. Today would be a great game for Allen to break out of his slump, maybe starting with some nice drives to the basket.

    KJ,

What do you think about the article in the Free Press where Tom Izzo very candidly explains why he and Spartan fans dislike Wisconsin. The link is here:

I thought that it was poorly timed. Why talk now about a play that happened 6 years ago? I thought he came off looking childish.

MSU players are classy? Nice one. I needed a laugh. MSU players are the Nancy boys of the league. They take after Litte Tommy Izzo who is constantly crying. Before the game, during the game, after the game. You name it, the little leprechaun is ALWAYS crying. MSU is soft and everyone knows it. Oh, is that Paul Davis cramping up again? Ha, what a loser. Anyway, Wisky will win today. My Boilermakers are on their way to a conference championship. Remember Tuesday? That was sweet…

Sparty, I’ve always thought Izzo overplayed the dunk-at-the-end-of-the-game incident. It may have been unsportsmanlike, but it certainly didn’t affect the outcome of the game. As I recall, the two players involved (Tucker being the dunker) were freshmen. It’s not like Ryan called the play.

Bottom line: We hate Wisconsin because they’ve beaten us in so many key games. Hopefully, that trends starts to reverse itself today.

Bob, I’m going to go ahead and guess you’re not the foremost expert on classiness.

Hey Bob – As a fellow Boilermaker, shut up and quit embarrassing my school. Thanks.

We all appear fixated on bucky and will continue to until we can knock them out. Izzo has rarely come off well in all this, but at least he is honest. Today is all àbout tempo, if it is near 70 we win. If not, yikes.

And Wisconsin does hold, slap, and flop. So what. Beat them anyway. They aren’t the celtics.

And Wisconsin is dirty. So what. Beat them anyway. They aren’t the celtics.

I’ve never felt bad about hating Wisconsin. But I have to live a lot closer to it than I suspect most of this blog’s readers do, so it’s pretty hard not to find a lot to dislike.

Oh, and I don’t like the Badgers either.

I grew up in Minnesota. Hatred for Wisconsin comes easy.
