Skunk bears had a better offensive rebounding %. We hold them to 39% effective fg percentage. I thought we would win convincingly if we were close in the ft proficiency and turnovers. A sub-par rebounding day against one of the worst rebounding teams was neutralized that. Oh well. A win is a win and the skunk bears have a shot for a NIT championship! Weird game. Paul Davis made a pretty aggressive move to the basket in the final seconds and was creamed, no foul called. We were crushing UM until the whistles started to blow. Dylan points out that 3-point shooting and low turnovers are his points of emphasis, but EVERY coach emphasizes low turnovers. That Beilien is accomplishing this with a junior forward, a sophomore guard who was an out-of-control tornado a year ago, and 38 freshmen is very impressive.
