"Lucas is the first point guard Izzo has had since Cleaves with the ability to completely take over a game. Taylor, Hill, and Neitzel were all very good players, but were outside shooters by nature."

I don't understand why nobody else ever seems to mention this during all the "disappointing" seasons. Every team since 2001 has had that back-breaking weakness!

I always felt that Walton was a gamer his first two years. If not for offensive ability, he'd at least try to score on will (not afraid to take the open jump shots, not afraid to try to drive the lane). Maybe it was the emergence of other talented guards that he decided (or coach decided) that he served better purpose holding back to give those guys shots. Hopefully he can figure out the balance. If Summers and Allen and Lucious come along though, I'm not sure Walton gets 20-25 minutes a game though.
