Holy crap, I was at the resident MSU bar in Chicago, must have been 200 people, place was roaring by the end of it. I agree with the above poster about Izzo, lets just hope we dont get Mr. Hightower and his "debts-to-pay-off" reffing style next week.

Good summary of the game. This game reconfirmed Izzo as one of the premiere coaches in the country. Pretty remarkable, really, how he's rallied the team since the Wiscy loss, and infused them with renewed confidence. Only Morgan still seems in a funk.

I agree that Pitt noticeably tired in the last ten minutes. But you also had the sense that MSU progressively won the battle of wills by hitting big shots every time Pitt made a run.

The disparity in fouls and foul shooting (disguised by Pitt's intentional fouls in the last minute) were befuddling, though. I wish someone could explain to me to my satisfaction how as physical a team as Pitt could be called for such a fewer number of fouls as MSU. Morgan again was a magnet for fouls, getting called on basically 4 ticky tacky fouls. At least for two of them that they were really dumb fouls. Still, Blair got away with fouls on every other one of his blocks, and he was hacking away under the boards through out the game.
