Halftime Thoughts

Special edition halftime thoughts:
- Good to see Neitzel so aggressive. All his 3-point makes were contested.
- Suton is also playing pretty aggressively and needs to keep it up in the second half. He passed off a couple times when he should have gone toward the hoop.
- Walton has been a complete liability on offense. Lucas’ quickness is an advantage; he needs to play most of the second half.
- Defensive rebounding has been solid.
- Announcers indicated that some of the MSU players seemed upset at Ibok. Hope that’s not true. He looks awkward, but he’s giving them minutes when they need them and has done a pretty good job on defense and the boards.
- Feel pretty good about being up 2 with (1) some bad turnovers cropping up again and (2) Morgan and Naymick out for most of the first half.

Pitt Fanon 22 Mar 2008 at 10:54 pm 1Congrats on the win MSU fans. You were the better team tonight. If we make a few of those open jumpers it might have been a different story. But we didn’t, you did and that’s that. Good luck in the Sweet 16!

Danon 22 Mar 2008 at 10:58 pm 3Thanks, Pitt Fan. I’m just glad we didn’t get stuck with Hightower and his recent “call fouls for breathing on the opponent” style of officiating; it would have completely ruined a great game between two very physical teams.

TMadison25on 23 Mar 2008 at 12:59 am 5Amazing class from Pittsburgh fan. Who wasn’t upset when you saw Fields hit the ground after that drive? As much as that team and Fields has been through, the last thing I wanted to see was him being carried of the court. Great team and a great game.

Classy Pitt.
